Kidner Contracting Pty Ltd is a long-standing family-owned company based on the Atherton Tablelands, Ravenshoe. Kidner Contracting Pty Ltd was established by George Stephen Kidner in 1944 as a Civil Construction and Logging Company, where we employed local people, with local knowledge in early road construction. Based in the Atherton Tablelands region, Kidner Contracting is one of the first road building companies connecting remote areas in Far North Queensland.

Available at Kidner Contracting is a range of products and services where we provide everything you need to build a road, anchor a bridge, quarry the rock, manufacture the multitude of sands, gravel, road bases and crushed rock.

Providing the convenience to have all your goods, services, plant or equipment transferred to some of North Queensland’s most challenging locations.

Our services include mobile crushing and screening, quarry products, ready-mixed Concrete, truck and earthmoving machinery hire and all your favourite tyre brands, exclusive Mickey Thompson Tire Dealer, spare parts and batteries to suit light domestic vehicles through to heavy earthmoving equipment and trucks.

Our services and machinery Hire is available as contractor/ sub-contractor services to companies, Councils and Government Agencies. All quarry materials, NCSI Certified Concrete products, tyres and parts are available to all businesses and the general public.

We offer competitive rates. Our extensive industry experience benefits our customers so that they can get the right product or service at the right price.

We also have a comprehensive workshop with highly qualified mechanics and diesel fitters to service and repair all your equipment and transport vehicles using quality parts and lubricants from our very own supply store based in Ravenshoe, Queensland.

Quarrying & Crushing

We have a gravel pit at Ravenshoe Quarry. These provide a full range of products, including base and sub-base unbound pavement materials for road, civil and on-site works.

Civil Construction

All of our operators and team have the appropriated tickets and licences. All staff are trained to the highest standards for customer service, safety and environmental awareness.

Haulage & Weighbridge

Everything to keep the freight and equipment moving smoothly. Whilst recognising and keeping it within all Queensland transport regulations.

Earthtech Laboratories

Our experience covers a wide range of geotechnical, engineering, mining and environmental projects in Cairns, Tablelands, Cape York, Gulf of Carpentaria and Torres Strait areas.
